Easter Card

 Hello, dears!

Today I'm here to show you my recent Easter card. Every year I plan to make more of them, however, usually I end up with one or two cards per season. It's really a shame as this beautiful and meaningful holiday deserves more attention, I believe. Anyway, I'm happy to find this beautiful paper collection because for me it highlights the colours and the brightness of Easter.

Religious Easter cards

In Poland we celebrate Easter very religiously. On Saturday we go to the church with basket full of traditional Easter food like eggs, ham, sausages, salt etc. for blessing. Then on Sunday early morning we go to the church and after we have breakfast. It is a slightly different celebration than here in Ireland.

That's why I made religious cards because it is a very important Christian holiday.

Mixed - media Easter eggs.

I still try new mixed media techniques. This time I decided to make mixed-media Easter eggs.

I bought real size styrofoam eggs and painted them with white gesso twice. Then I glued clay roosters and some bows and leaves. Next layer is rustic paint - Copper oxide color. The clay roosters I painted using rustic paint - Gray beige color, then I treated them with black gesso which I mixed with a little bit water and then I rubbed it gently with baby wipes. Last, I used Cooper goldpaste all over the eggs.

I hope you like my new experiment, I must say I am quite happy with the result.
