 It's the end of the school year so it's time for cards for Teachers. I really like making them, I love all the papers and elements with school theme that's why I fell in love from the first sight with Fabrika Decoru collection - Cool School.

Hello, dear friends! We have just few days left till Christmas and today I'd like to show you last minute present idea. All the materials I used are included in December Kit from 14 Craft Bar. The box can be used to store some printed out photos (which newer have a proper place in my home :) or to present a box of chocolates in style :)

Special Week - Postcard from holiday 

 

We send post cards to those we care about - historically sent as a way of letting loved ones know we are safe and enjoying our time away they have to some extent been surpassed by the joys of Facebook and Instagram but the sentiment behind the idea of a postcard remains the same today as it did when they were first sent. I have thought a bit outside the box for my project for special week - I didn't have anything overtly post card based but did have lots of papers with a summery holiday vibe and hence the idea for this project was born.

I chose the summer charm papers and a chipboard chocolate box to make a DL shaped card . Having constructed the box I covered all surfaces with papers from the collection and added copper embossing powder to the spine and edges. As I layered my paper on the front and back covers I sandwiched co-ordinating shabby ribbon in place so that I had a tie closure for my box. On the front I layered a large piece of chipboard cut from background circles flat onto the front and then layered lots of tags and fussy cut elements on top tucking in pieces of  cheesecloth and spiky leaves before adhering my chipboard sentiment best wishes in place .

On the inside  front cover I added lots of fussy cut elements  from the extras to cut flowers sheetand a little envelope just perfect for a gift card fromt the co-ordianting journal pack dressing up the tags with more shabby ribbons. 

I then created a little scene in the box part of the chocolate box using more fussy cut elements, some forestry themed chipboard and white sisal.

Stamperia papers celebrate a number of genera and for this project I have selected the 12 x 12 paper pad Imagine and a premade base that looks like a book, just perfect for housing a bar of chocolate and a gift card as a present for someone special.  

I selected the paper from the pack with a face on it and cut it to size before using Magic Glue to adhere it in place. To the left of this I adhered a piece of muslin and then added some paper elements cut from the same papers lifting them up on foam pads. I tucked in some snipart floral pieces from my stash - however there are a wide range of similar pieces on the 14 Craft bar website which would work really well and would allow you to make your piece truly personal.

The inside of my box was then lined with more of the papers and elements from the paper pack.

I had tons of papers left and what could be more perfect than to make a selection of cards

or perhaps one of my favorite makes a piece of home decor

These pieces used the majority of the pack of papers but I still have a few scraps left that would make some more cards. Yes a simple pack of papers can do so much; a gift, cards or a home decor piece which will you choose?

I used
