Foamiran Poinsettia Step by step

Hi everyone :)
Today I'd love to share with you step by step tutorial
for lovely poinsettia flower made with 14 Craft Bar Poinsettia Stencil.

1.I've used the stencil to draw a shape of a smaller leaf on the foamiran, you can use toothpick or barbeque stick or anything with a pointy end to do it.

2.  This way we have a very clear shape of a leaf on foamiran.

3. Time to cut it out.

4. As I need my leaf to be smaller I have to cut it of in the place shown on the photo. I am making flowers for cards so need small flowers.

5. Now I am using my leaf as a template for more leaves.

6. For one flower I'll need 8-9 leaves.

7,8. It is easy to cut few leaves at once.

9. I'm using leaf mold to add a texture to my leaf. Do achive a nice textute place the leaf on the iron first for few seconds, place on the mold and press.
After few seconds you will have leave veins on your foamiran leaf.

10. Fold leaf in half and strech a bit a top of it.

11. Time to stick the leaves together. I'm using hot glue, only on the photo you can see craft glues as I wanted to show you exactly where I apply the glue.

12. The black line shows you where the glue goes.

13. Heere I have first layer of my flower. I usually use 5-6 leaves for it.

 14. For the second layer I use 3 petals. Cut them slightly smaller to go in the centre of my flower.
In the middle, I'm using stamens or other flower centres.
To achieve coloured leaf veins on the light foamiran I ink the mold before pressing leaf into it :)

Now you can add gesso or glitter to finish your flower.

I hope you will use my tutorial to create lovely flowers :)
Take care xx
Ewa
